Near the caves of Lanquin, along a forgotten dirt road in the middle of Guatemala is an amazing natural wonder: Semac Champey. A series of natural pools where water gently trickles from one layer to the next while the rage of the main river is underground underneath.
In the evening, after a day swimming in the clear pools under the leafy jungle foliage and walking to the lookout point, the bats from Lanquin cave come out, and keep on coming.
